Supporting the life of prayer since 1996.
Today is Friday, July 25, Anno Domini 2008, and today's prayers are the Sorrowful
Mysteries; Psalter IV, Ordinary Time Week 16. Feast of James, apostle.
This chaplet consists of 3 groups of 4 beads each. A large bead separates each group, and a medal of the Immaculate Conception is attached to the end. It was composed by St. John Berchmans, S.J., and recited by him daily to obtain, through the intercession of Mary, the grace never to commit any sin against the virtue of purity.
Method of saying: Having made the sign of the cross say: Blessed be the Holy and Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. Say the Our Father on the large beads and the Hail Mary on the small beads. After each group say Glory be, etc.
